Hi a question for Briantist, I live in Aspull wigan postcode wn2 1sz and can recive some stations from the emily more transmiiter, some are weak and some are very weak, will i be able to get them at full strength when emily more switches over fully to digital. it is strange because according to the website Emily more is not in line of sight of my postcode but yet i can receive stations from there.

but are the Pennines an obstacle, with the hight and strength of emily more, I mean if they were, you wouldn't get it at all over here would you? also i get nothing from moel-Y-parc as my Ariel is pointing the wrong way, done many a rescan on my box and only got my own local ones and about 15 channels from Emily more.

it is wrong this the bay on 96.9 is at 3.2KM power. and also it reaches a bit further then it says on the map. I can get it here not always very clear due to interference from radio city, But get it all the same in Aspull in wigan. and also it used to reach manchester stockport, and beyond before All FM came on air used to listen to it regular in Stockport in the 90s when i lived there. also radio Cumbria is recivable here in wigan to on 96.1 not as strong as the bay.

wow didnt think winter hill went that far out Beatamax_man. yeah its strange like i said no moel y parc at all here yet Emily more is ok, do you also get channels breaking up from Emily more to Beatmax-man.

I was having another play about with my freeview box last night, and I have found i can get upto 47 channels from Emily more, if i cut it off at about half way through its scan. I am surprised as i thought i wouldn't be able to get so many from that distance. they are all or less watchable to, but they keep apixalting every 5 minutes. signal levels are showing an amber colour and is about 50 percent I thought i could only get about 16 here. Which is Aspull in Wigan Post code WN2 1SZ

Hi everyone is Emily more now on full digital power or will not only happen after stage 2 of the switch-over. I now have bbc1 and two here in Aspull wigan which i didnt have before stage 1.So was just wondering if that is the best i am going to get now or will it get even better after stage 2. Thanks in advance

thanks Briantist, I might get ITV1 at full power then after switchover i now get bbc1 and 2 at half power, which i couldnt get at all before, and get itv1 at half power now. do you think?

HI why do i have duplicate channels like bbc4 and some bbc radio channels. It is bot because i am getting them form 2 different transmitters because i have looked on my information page on my box and they are both comming from Emily more. I am in Aspull wigan

ironic really that Mr J Moxton from Marsden cant get channel 5 or any reception from Emily more, yet I live in Aspull Wigan about 30 miles out of emily mores coverage area and get all 5 channels very well with channel 5 being one of the clearest! I can also get a few digitel ones from there to with Itv and Itv plus one being the strongest at about half signal strength, no doubt after swithover I will get them and quite a few more at full strength. My local mast is winter hill which is 5 miles up the road.
