To lj forgot to put your name on my answer see amended answer here. Hi most sky box problems are the power supply capacitors drying up. Google a site called satcure which is full of info on these sort of problems. They also sell repair kits for this sort of problem. If you have tried to download an update with a bad power supply or a low signal you have probably currupted the flash memory chips and the box is a write off. Lots of cheap boxes on ebay. Good luck.
