Below are all of jg's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Briantist: Have tried everything thats listed on the page. Most of it dosen't apply as I don't have sky/consoles/boosters in the house. Might be time to have the ariel bloke in. Can't understand why when the signal was weaker there was no problem, but now its 20 times stronger I start having trouble. Ariel cable is double shielded direct connection to the equipment. Thanks for your advice.

jb38: I have been on the waltham transmitter for 4 years with no problem. Half the village is on Sutton - the others on Waltham. Just to be sure I did what was suggested but to no avail. I only have one PVR, the tv is analogue.Have checked the frequencies and they tally with Waltham. Strangely some seem to be showing max. signal strength but still break-up on pic and sound. No channel is watchable. Also strangely, the low power Mux is the one i am having the least trouble with. Again, when the signal was weaker I had full service,no problems for years. When we go full power, I get low power symptoms.I appreciate the powers that be are saying the signal is stronger however in practice the opposite appears to be true.

The whole point of the exercise is to get you to sample the shows , then go and get yourselves a full subscription to continue watching.
For me its worked rather well as I have managed to sample some productions that seemed to be very promising, and then realised they were not what they seem and just a big let down ( with the possible exception of Mad Dogs )
So Pick tv have managed to convince me that a subscription would just be a waste of money.

When our time comes and we pass over to the other side, and someone like Psychic Sally does manage to contact us for a bit of a chat, can we all remember that :
i Its always going to be a bad line so they will never be able to hear us properly,

ii. Insist on giving out only your first name, resist giving out any detail like DOB, address, or full name of the person you want to speak to. Instead, mention random, vague facts about the clock on the wall or how you got drunk on your 18th birthday.
Don't forget, Sally gets bored very quickly so there won't be much time to give verifiable details such as the time you got caught shoplifting or which one of your kids was a bit of a surprise. Better instead to talk about how you used to like cars and eat steak before she moves onto someone else.
If the afterlife does exist, I'll be watching the women on the beaches in Miami not talking to a pensioner in a town hall in Reading.

Derby
Have been on full freeview service without any problems for four years when a new external ariel was fitted pointing to waltham. It was only when the first changeover date to Waltham started that me and my neighbours lost bbc stations completely at first, then unwatchable afterwards. Thought todays second stage would cure it but am now only picking up 5 Mux's ( 104 channels) but bad breakup on BBC channels including radio. Postcode DE65 5QE. I read here the transmitter is on low power for another month. Is it a case of grin and bear it ?
