For a year I had problems with Freeview and could not find the cause of the problem at all. Then I unplugged the aerial out of the signalamplifier and straight into the Digital Recorder. All problems vanished and all channels work perfectly.
I hope this helps other people who have not tried discarding the amplifier and just plugged the aerial straight into their receiver.
