Richard. To listen to my local radio station, Radio Lancashire, is not possible on DAB without an external aerial, so I have either to revert to fm or listen on my Internet radio. Although I am capped at 10gb there's not an issue of being over my limit.

Internet radio has a distinct advantage over dab and that's being able to listen to programmes when you want rather than just when they are broadcast. My favourite station or rather the podcasts are from BBC 7. I do wish they would catalogue them better though because they can be a little troublesome to locate at times.

I'm glad to hear the end of Cbeebies; there was nothing more annoying than them waking me up in the early hours with their music. I have radio 7 on all night to help me sleep. I like to doze off listening to a story. Get rid of the comedy programming and the channel will be bliss.

Can anything be done to improve the podcasts from BBC7 which frequently restart?

Briantist & Simon

I listen to the podcasts via an internet radio, a Clarus Plus. Some of the hiccoughs may be due to fluctuation in my wifi signal strength, but I frequently experience restarts before I get to the end of a story. I was listening to Morse the other night and about 5 mins before the end it restarted. I am convinced that whoever puts the podcasts up cuts them off before the programme has finished. Usually before a story starts you get 5-10 mins of the previous programme and I suspect this intro causes the programme to be cut before it's finished.

I'd like to hear a full story from about 10:00pm but that's when the comedy is on, which is why I opt for the podcasts. What use is a 15 minute segment of a story on podcast?

An end to end story station would suit me fine.

I'm disappointed that since Radio 7 became BBC Radio 4 Extra there seems to be less podcasts available to listen to via internet radio.

Brian: It has improved over the week and despite not altering my internet radio's settings the podcasts do tend to play without re-starting partway through, although I usually drop off to sleep whilst listening to them.

Mrs McKeeon: I couldn't agree more. It is sheer bliss listening to a murder mystery last thing at night or in the early hours. They can stick their comedy crap where the sun doesn't shine. :)

Whoops, sorry Mrs McKeown. Did a typo.

Is there any reason why Radio Lancashire on DAB should be a weaker signal than it used to be?

I could only receive it in one room in the house but now it has gone altogether. All other DAB stations are there, it's just the local one that has gone AWOL.

I've given up on trying to listen to my local radio station (BBC Radio Lancashire) on DAB. I've opted for an internet radio. Not really the solution I was looking for but it's infinitely more reliable than DAB in my location.

I've just moved to a new location and my current terrestial aerial only lets me receive Freeview Lite from, I assume, the Darwen Transmitter. I'm not bothered about my main TV because that's on Freesat. Will I be able to receive from Winter Hill if I put up a new aerial aimed in its direction? My postcode is BB2 4TX. I also want to be able to split the feed to two bedroom TVs.
