Can I use my ex-contract sky digital satellite receiver to get

I have
sky
+ downstairs and my old sky
digibox
upstairs. I can't get
channel 5
and 5* etc on the upstairs box as it says 'channel unavailable'. What do I need to do to rectify this and will it cost me money?
