Thank you for getting back to me,my TV is a Toshiba 40BV700B.My recorder is a LITEON HDA740GX and it does have a hard drive but i don't think it has freeview.

I have a 42"Toshiba TV with built in freeview,i want to connect my DVDplayer/recorder but have been told i need a freeview box to do this,please can you tell me if this is right
