Michael Yeadon: Advice on queries of this nature can only be provided with knowledge of where a person is located, this preferably being in the form of a post code or one from nearby, e.g: a shop / post office.
It would also be of assistance if you indicated the mode of reception you are using, Freeview, Freesat or Sky.

Sue: If you are definitely receiving your signal from Huntshaw Cross? then no faults are listed against this transmitter on the engineering page, therefore your problem is most likely being caused by something connected with your aerial system or even the jumper leads being used.
Do you use your own aerial?, or are you connected into a communal system?, if the latter, then check with a neighbour or someone else local to ascertain if they are also having similar problems.
As far as retuning your TV or box is concerned, if you have retuned it whilst a fault still existed on your system, then it will require further retunes after any lead checks etc have been made in order to reload the channels back into the tuner.
By the way, the reason for querying Huntshaw Cross is that this transmitter covers a large area, likewise you might be located in a part of said area that's covered by another transmitter, a post code being required in order to determine if this is likely to apply or not.

Sue: Thanks for the update re: your location, this indicating that your Freeview reception is from the Ilfracombe PSB only "relay" situated at approximately 0.5 miles from you, this transmitter broadcasting the same BBC and ITV programmes as Huntshaw Cross thereby giving the impression that the signal is coming from the latter, reception from Huntshaw Cross indicated as not being possible due to the signal path from the mast suffering from a sizeable line-of-sight obstruction from slightly under 7 miles prior to your location, a quick Google earth rooftop check revealing that all aerials in your area are vertically mounted and pointing towards the Ilfracombe relay.
The only other station indicated as a possibility for reception is Kilvey Hill, this station transmitting BBC & ITV Wales, and by being a main station broadcasting the range of commercial channels such as ITV3, Pick TV, 4Music etc, which its assumed are programmes not previously received by you?
As nothing is currently mentioned about the Ilfracombe relay as far as any faults are concerned, I would persevere with your retuning attempts after having checked the connections previously referred to.

Jon: Motors TV cannot be received on a DVB-T receiver as the programme is transmitted on COM7 which is an HD multiplex. The other point being, that Nextbase DVB devices although being able to receive standard Freeview SD channels are not to my knowledge actually Freeview receivers but "free to view" devices, likewise do not have standard EPG listing numbers, this being why 71 is listed whereas it isnt on a Freeview SD device.

Dean: If you are meaning that you have have fitted a powered distribution box in the loft, and with the outputs from feeding TV points in the various rooms, the loft boxes "input" being connected into the Sky boxes RF2 output and with the power for this socket having been turned on via the Sky boxes menu, then if there is no DC voltage being supplied to the magic eyes the question would be, did you fit a loft box of the DC pass variety, because if not? the DC coming from the Sky boxes RF2 output will be blocked by the distribution amplifier.

Sue: In addition to that said, I can confirm that the Ilfracombe transmitter was indeed down between the hours of 1.33pm and 09.15pm on the 14th, this somewhat indicating that you are receiving Freeview from this transmitter.
Another point being, that none of the reception predictors (neither Digital UK or Wolfbane) indicate that reception is possible from Huntshaw Cross, and so I will also be interested in the outcome of your signal tests.

Ronald J. Beaton : Indoor aerials no matter of what the brand might be are seldom ever satisfactory, as all of them are vulnerable to fluctuations in output caused by them reacting to the capacitive effects of movements within the room, or even movements in adjoining rooms whether or not within the same property, fluctuations in output levels showing up in a more severe fashion in aerials advertised as being fitted with a built in high gain amplifier, hence why aerials of the latter year variety can sometimes perform better.
Purely out of curiosity, what like is the reception on your main TV if you try swapping the two indoor aerials over? as another aspect about these high gain indoor aerials is that some of the gain is achieved by designing the aerial to have a narrow pick up angle, needless to say this making them even more vulnerable to movements within the room, or indeed even in the angle the signal is being received at.
However as far as the 4G aspect is concerned, although these aerials do have a built in filter to attenuate reception above C60, the area used by 4G transmitters, there is an element of this aspect being used as a sales gimmick by some aerial manufacturers in a similar way as during switchover from analogue to digital aerials were seen advertised as being for "digital" reception, or even "digital compatible", when in actual fact all aerials are, aerials being capable of receiving signals of any mode provided that the transmission is at a frequency within the range that the aerial is designed to operate on.

chris woods: Motors TV can be viewed on any normal (SD) Sky box on guide number 447 fitted with a standard non subscription card of the type mentioned, the HD qualification only applying to reception on Freeview due to the programme being transmitted on the COM7 multiplex which is an HD transmitter.

rose: Should the problem mentioned be referring to a Sky box?, (standard / Sky+ or Sky+HD) then try placing it in standby for a minute or so before disconnecting it from the mains supply, waiting for a further minute or so before reconnecting it again and allowing it to go through the searching for listings procedure.
Should though a Sky box not be involved, please state the type of device you are referring to, i.e: Freeview or Freesat.

Lynne Knight: By the way, if you do require to change the Sky boxes RF modulator output channel, then do not forget that you will have to rescan the TV used in the conservatory (whilst its set on analogue not DTV) to pick up the Sky boxes new RF output channel.
