josh: Its quite impossible to suggest anything without knowing your location, plus it would also be of assistance to know what model of LG you are referring to.

s. wilkie: If the link between the VCR and the TV is OK then there is no reason that you cant see your camcorder, as all you do ON YOUR VCR is to select "ext input" or whatever AV number corresponds to the input sockets you are using on it to feed the camcorder into.
This being said assuming that you are using the camcorders A/V output socket with a lead that has either two, or three coloured phono (RCA) plugs on one end, these being used into the VCR, that is unless you are using one of the later types of VCR combo's that has a DVi input for camcorder purposes.
By the way yellow always being the video connection on any of these non-digital leads.

Ian; Surely Craig P's comment re "digital aerial" was simply a slip of the tongue, so to speak! as otherwise to that I thought that what he had said was representative of a fair minded person working for what can only be classed as a very modest profit.

Charlene: Try a manual scan on Ch68, as indications are that you should be receiving a good signal, let me know how you get on as I can then give further info depending on the result.
Make sure that your aerial is mounted vertically and not horizontally, and it should be pointing fractionally to the right hand side of due North.

Charlene: If it helps, the aerial should be pointing towards Keighley railway station, that is unless you can actually see it on the hill beyond.

Gary: The spare LNB ports on your Sky dish can be used to feed points in other rooms provided its Freesat you are thinking about and NOT Freeview, that being terrestrial based and received via a normal aerial.
LNB ports are totally independent of each other, and can be used for a combination of Sky and Freesat.

jade: You appear to be in one of those locations where the possibility of receiving multiple channels from different sources exist, as although Ilchester Crescent shows as your best option local circumstances as well as your TV's tuning system dictates what is stored in 1,2,3 etc,etc.
To be able to give more accurate assistance, go into your TV's tuning menu signal check area and check if BBC1 is showing as Ch41 on your EPG1 position, then do the same test on BBC1 in the 800 ranges and come back with the result of the test.
Further info will be dependant on what you find, as manually storing channels "might" be the only successful method in your location, or possibly another tick involving "partially scanning with the aerial removed" doesn't work.

Jim B: Rather than your aerial not being good enough this could indicate that you might be receiving too strong a signal, as 100% indications are shown for all the MUX's you receive, trying an attenuator in line with the TV's aerial input socket the only real way of testing, unless you check using an indoor aerial.
As far as HD is concerned, changes to the method of HD transmission that took place caused problems with a number of boxes, so maybe you could indicate the model number of the one you are using.

Jade: Its a bit surprising that 43 has shown as BBC1, as according to the trade predictor I am looking at 43, which is Bristol - Kings Weston Hill @ 6miles away, isnt shown as operational on that channel.
However, the procedure to use for manual tuning of the strongest signals you have mentioned (Ilchester Crescent @ 1 mile away) is to first of all remove the aerial, then follow this action by carrying out a complete re-scan. Obviously nothing will be received but this procedure is to blank the memory of anything stored.
Once completed, re-connect the aerial and go into the tuning menu again selecting "manual scan or tune", after which enter the first channel on the list (Ch41), click "scan" and once the channels are found dont forget to store them.
Use this exact procedure on each of the channels listed in turn, doing the same as applied to the first after each scan is completed, i.e: storing them.
The only thing to note is, that the tuning menu system isnt the same on each brand of set and so slight variations can exist, so if after you have scanned and stored your first on the list and you try a second scan and get a warning that anything saved will be erased, just use the "add channels" option for each of the subsequent scans rather than the normal manual scan. (it all depends on the TV's menu!)

Robert M: Thanks for the update requested, however its almost certain that your problem is caused by what I had mentioned, i.e:- 8K operation, as one of my own devices even uses a later chassis than yours and it has also been prone to bouts of similar behaviour since receiving 8K signals, something that is not rectifiable!
Its pity really as these PVR's are super user friendly, much more so than some of the more modern ones.
