TD8 6UP. -based .

We recieve good signals of all , including HD. However, our HDD recorder stutters the playback of the independant channels? All BBC channel recording play back perfectly, but recordings from channels ITV, , Film 4 all stutter on playback.
Any suggestions about where I should begin checking for errors?
Could this be a problem with the box reading certain frequencies?
Any thoughts on what checks can I carry out?
