Below are all of Maria's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Maria: The only test you can try which will give a 100% accurate to where the problem is located is by trying the box with the problem in the Sk+ boxes position using any one of the two "F" plug connectors transferred over from the Sky box, as they are identical to each other.
If the box still doesnt work then its the box at fault, but if it does then its either a cable / "F" connector problem at the box end, or alternatively the connector on the LNB or indeed the port used on the LNB, which wouldn't really be a problem as the LNB should have another outlet thats unused so the connector can be transferred over to it.
Thanks so much will give all of those a go. We don't owe the box anything it is probably 15yrs old so can't complain!
Once again thanks for the advice

Hi
I've tried all of the above and still not signal. this is on our 2nd box in the bedroom. It is'wired' in on the 'spare' connector on the dish I believe. Our downstairs sky+ is working ok so not the dish, could it be the connector on the dish or cable somewhere. As you will see from the comments I am not a professional, we had a tv engineer put the second line in for our spare box ( the one that isn't working)
Any thoughts would be very much appreciated
thank you
