Hi folks, after good transmission for over a year from the Kendal relay station I am unable to get good reception on most channels and some, mainly the BBC are useless. I re-tuned today having seen a message on screen a couple of days ago that I should re-tune. It had been a bit patchy before then but after re-tuning it is dreadful. Are there any known problems and, if not, do you have any ideas? Thanks Judy Palmer, Kendal.

Just called Kendal a relay station, but believe I should have said transmitter. It's the one near to Oxenholme.

Me too, in Kendal (Kendal transmitter). I followed the reset instructions above - reset twice, no BBC channels (only 10 channels altogether and no radio), the third time 16 channels and 5 radio, but 'no signal' for all of them. What is going on? I had perfectly good TV before resetting as advised today.

My post on 'My freeview box....' reset advice above. What is going on? I had perfectly good TV before resetting as advised today. Should I just wait until tmorrow?

Hi KMJ, tried both of your solutions, the ITV channels were a bit better (signal stength 57% and quality 50-60%) but BBC channels came through on the 800s and didn't work (signal strength for C60 57%, but quality 0-50%). And digital is supposed to be better? Only if you have enough money for very expensive equipment and a personalised aerial man. But (whine...) everything worked before! I'll keep trying J

Hi,I went through the same reset process again this morning to no avail, and then again this evening, and all is now perfectly normal. It would seem, therefore that there was a transmitter problem last night after all. Could I make a suggestion that the transmitter faults are reported onto this website sooner if possible? This would help people to save time and, perhaps, money, and also cut down a bit on the anxiety and allow for a bit more understanding. Thank you

Briantist: I'm sorry I'm not sure what you mean. I thank you very much indeed for your advice, it was only a suggestion. I don't know who puts the transmitter engineering posts on - is it you? Another suggestion to myself would be not to panic and wait a day as a matter of course, as things seem often to sort themselves out with a bit of patience. So thank you again,

Again no signal from the Kendal transmitter, presume issues because of the bad weather last night - hopefully not my aerial. This time I'm going to be patient. Judy

I have recently retuned with the Kendal Transmitter but don't have any extra channels. Is this as expected? Thanks

Thnaks Dave, it's pretty poor compared to Ulverston which links to the Lancaster transmitter - does anyone know if any improvements are planned or whether we will continue to be second class citizens? Freeview in Thurso (Caithness) a couple of weeks ago had many more channels.
