In Warsash, nr Southampton, will we have to do full retunes on 7th and 21st March?
Has the time of day for these been set yet?
There seems to be so much information available but haven't managed to fully clarify the situation. Or am I jumping the gun!!

Dave Lindsay:
Dave,
Many thanks for your update. Looks like an early start on those dates (Three tvs and 2 PVRs to retune)
Will certainly try the chan 24 manual job first and do the full wipe/retune on the 21st to get HD.
Looks like another to do on the 18th April!
Regards

Wonder if anyone else has had the problem that, on BBC1 Rowridge, there is no sound at switch on at the hdr and separate tv. After switching off the Humax hdr and the tv the sound came back. Could it be tied up with the changes that are taking place clobbering the tv software?

Ref Rowridge transmissions. Can you say if the horizontal SDN, COM 5 and 6 muxes are to remain at 50KW or will they be eventually be upgraded to 200KW. I ask because CH22 and 28 are at the edges of gain of my indoor antenna and have marginal signals since the switch this morning (18th April).
I may have to go to vertical polarisation.
Thankyou

In case you are still not receiving HD from Rowridge, may I offer the following:
I also have a Fox HDR T2/Sony Bravia. Is it possible that you are using the wrong setting for inputs to the TV.
Under the heading 'Viewing pictures from connected equipment' see 'input AV4 AV5. Digital audio/video signal is input through the HDMI IN 4/5 socket.'
The clue might be that you are using a SCART cable in addition to HDMI cable. The SCART is not needed.
I am in Warsash and get a good HD signal.

Transmitter engineering:
Both my neighbour and I are getting occasional breaks in Freeview transmission which affect BBC1 and most other channels. Both on a TV and PVR. The only way to recover is to switch off the device and on again, when the channels are OK. The only common factor is that these are all on Humax devices, if that is relevant.
The screen goes blank and sometimes has a 'no signal' display.
This is on two of my sets on separate aerials.
Is something going on which the broadcaster is not aware of?

The BBC could move all Sport to the BBC3 channel.
Sport gets in the way of normal viewing.

Onscreen announcements say retune on Wednesday.
BBC News is still on channel 130 not 231.
What has gone wrong?

Since doing a full retune recently on my Humax 9300 I find that the PVR is very sluggish in response to the handset. Sometimes it even fails to respond and I have to turn off and restart the PVR. Handset batteries are OK.
Also today, although a recording was shown as set in the Schedule, the program was not recorded. There were no other recordings scheduled at that time. I receive the Rowridge transmitters. I have not previously had any problems
Has anyone else noted a similar problem?

At the Rowridge switchover on March 21 will I be able to get High Definition on Freeview and which multiplex/channels? I have a Humax HD PVR so should be able to decode HD if and when available.
