Freesat from Sky cards need updating

I have 3 kids tv's and a tv in our bedroom that are run through a roof aerial and booster, which up until approx' 2 months ago worked fine. About 2 months ago all 4 tv's pictures & the neighbours tv's pIcture started to break up (freeview). The neighbour has had a new roof aerial fitted but his problem got no better. The engineer that fitted their new roof aerial said that it appeared that the digitl signal was being obstructed by a tree in the distance. (200 yards away). Is that possible ? The tree hasn't grown significantly (just grown it's leaves) and things were OK last year.

mazbar, Thanks very much for your comments. I have being giving this some thought & have decided to invest in a Freesat set up. After reading the brilliant adice on this site I will be having a go at fitting my own system. Cheers & thanks to all !

hello, I have just put up my new dish for Freesat. I have tuned it in using my satillite finder (and it looks to be in the correct alignment as it is pointing the same way as my sky dish (and my neighbours dish). I connect up my Grundig freesat box using the scart cable but it says there is no signal strength. I thought ahhh, it may be how i have connected the coax cable. so I ran another length, still the same. I then bought a second freesat box (I need one anyway as I will have to have 3 boxes eventually (3 kids). still no signal. so I then thought, it may be the TV. so I connected it to a second TV & exactly the same happens. No signal strength showing.
any ideas please ?
