I realise that this is 'UK TV' but I am a British Expat living in Spain and I get Sky TV over here - as many thousands of people and businesses do (rightly or wrongly).
My friend recently went to buy a Freesat box, to use in Spain, from a well known British shop and she was told by the salesperson that she shouldn't buy one. She was told by him that he used to work for Freesat (I think it was Freesat) and that she needn't bother buying one because this year or next, Astra will be moving their satellite. He told her that we will not be able to get any Sky TV at all when it happens.
It can't be a secret that we do receive Sky over here. We will all be devastated not to be able to watch our favourite TV programs anymore, not to mention all the bars and restaurants who also have Sky TV, especially the sports. I also pay to subscribe to Sky.
Does anyone know, or has anyone heard anything like this?
