Mark: What are the signal strength and quality readings for COM5 and the other multiplexes? Most TVs will allow you to access this information from the menu.

steve burton: Check at the end of your channel list (numbers from 800 and up) and you will likely find the BBC North East Channels. If your recorder allows you to edit the channel list you could delete them, otherwise please provide a postcode so we can see which North East transmitters are providing a signal at your location then further advice can be offered.

Alison Gerrie The Alison Gerrie: It sounds like whatever is being switched on is causing electrical interference which drowns out the TV signal (quite likely something with an electric motor). It's almost certainly something in or around your property, or a near neighbour, so look for things which are being used when you loose signal. DIY or garden equipment are strong possibilities.

Sewme: Sewing Quarter is broadcast from Darvel on the COM6 multiplex, but is only a part time channel operating from 8am to 12 noon. If you can already received 4Music on channel 18 then retune and Sewing Quarter should be added on 78.

Michael. evison: ITV2 HD, ITV3 HD & ITV4 HD are subscription channels on Sky. It seems unlikely that they will join Freeview or Freesat any time soon and ITV haven't made any announcements about launching any UHD channels, although they have made some UHD content available online.

David Templeman: As per my post above yours, this website has nothing to do with the programme guide for YourTV or any other broadcaster. I would suggest contacting YourTV with your feedback via their website Welcome to YourTV | YourTV |

Sewme: Are you still receiving ITV3 on channel 10 and Pick on 11? COM6 is the multiplex (group of channels) which Sewing Quarter and 4Music are part of. Does your TV have a manual tuning function in the menu? If it does, select UHF C29 but don't press OK/Scan yet and you should see signal strength and quality information for COM6 from Darvel. If strength and quality are both good (60% or higher) you should be able to store those chanels.

Dave: All the radio transmitter pages have been like that for weeks. Freeview transmitter pages were fixed a while back, but unfortunately nothing has happened with the radio pages yet.

Emley Moor (Kirklees, England) transmitter

Helen Wyatt: Engineering work doesn't take place every date and if there was a fault it would have been fixed within a few days (usually within hours). Retuning will never fix a loss of signal and is the worst thing to do as retuning whilst no signal is present will simply delete all the channels which were already correctly tuned. This sounds more likely to be caused by electrical interference being emitted by something which is operating before 11am. Check around your mum's home and with her near neighbours for anything operating on a timer (central heating pumps are a common cause).
