Terry Charles : No, Sky won't come and remove it as the dish is your property. It also wouldn't be cost effective as the dishes only cost a few pounds to produce so there is no demand for used ones.

Roy: AT800 is the organisation set up to provide free filters to resolve interference caused by mobile phone masts which have been upgraded to 4G using frequencies which were formally used for TV. If you have recently started getting interference on Freeview, give them a call and they'll check if there are any 4G masts likely to affect you and send out a free filter which plugs in to the cable coming from your TV aerial.

Map of all DAB transmitters
Wednesday 30 November 2016 10:35AM

Update from Arqiva on the rollout of local DAB transmitters (courtesy of a516digital.com):

"[Arqiva] is also progressing with the delivery of Commercial local DAB. The programme is part of an initiative to meet the local DAB coverage threshold of 90% set by the UK Government in 2010. Arqiva is required to deliver new transmitters or upgrades at 220 sites and as at 30 September 2016 work had been completed at 185 sites. The remainder of the work will be completed in the new calendar year."

So as of the end of September there were 35 transmitters remaining to have local DAB added with more having been reported to be on air since, so it shouldn't be too long now before the local DAB rollout is complete.

Tony Taylor: 4G interference is certainly a possibility, particularly as you have an amplifier which would amplify any interference along with the wanted signal. Suggest you contact AT800 (see link below) who should send you a free filter. Make sure you connect the filter before the amplifier and also check all cables and connections where you can safely access them for any damaged or loose cables etc.

Christopher Lewis: There have been no frequency changes for any services. You should not attempt to retune if you have lost channels as you most likely have a fault of some kind and will simply be deleting the channels which are already tuned if you rescan.

A P West: There have been no reported faults or planned maintenance at Midhurst so local interference would seem a more likely explanation.

S Bevan's : Your TV licence is for the entitlement to watch TV, it does not promise reception of any channels. Please provide a postcode so we can see which transmitters are available to you. Alternatively you could get Freesat at a one off cost for the box, satellite dish and installation.

Doug Ferguson: Sound Digital haven't announced any plans to expand their coverage and it seems doubtful that they will do any time soon. Their business model is based on providing national coverage at a much lower cost than Digital One, which they achieve by only have 45 transmitters which cover most major areas of population.

Upgrading from Sky to Freesat | Freesat
Sunday 4 December 2016 11:40AM

Morgan: Yes, all the channels available on Freesat are also available on a Sky box either with no viewing card inserted, or with a free to view or ex-subscription card (which will also get you a few extra free to view channels and put the correct BBC/ITV regions at the top of the program guide).

Sarah Anthony: Try swapping the boxes around and see if the problem moves with the box or whether the currently working box looses its channels (don't retune the box that is working).
