Aileen: Assuming your aerial is pointed at Black Hill, try a manual tune on C32 (if your TV has a manual tuning function).

Aileen: Stop resetting your TV as that won't fix missing channels. According to the manual on Hitachi's website, your TV has a Manual Channel Scan option in the Install and Retune menu. This is where you should navigate to and select C32, then allow the TV to scan and store any channels it finds.

Sharon Panetta: The link below shows QVC Extra as only being available on satellite (e.g. Sky or Freesat) and not on Virgin Media cable.

Ian: The Torbay area already has DAB coverage from the Beacon Hill transmitter which broadcasts the BBC, D1 National and Devon multiplexes. Where are you specifically in Torbay that doesn't have coverage?

Alex: Freesat has fewer channels listed on the EPG, as not all free to air broadcaster have decided to pay the fees for their channels to be included, although unlisted channels can still be tuned in manually on most receivers. Free to air channels are broadcast without encryption, whereas free to view channels are encrypted and require a viewing card to decode them, although don't require an active subscription and is usually used by channels who have to have tight geographic restrictions on the territories where they can be received. 4music has indeed recently changed from free to view and become free to air and is available on both Sky and Freesat boxes and is currently shown as such at the top of this page (perhaps it has only been updated since you checked).

Alex: 4Seven HD and Channel4 +1 HD are are not available on Sky/Freesat because Channel 4 haven't chosen to broadcast them on satellite (they were launched on Freeview to encourage people to buy HD receivers). Dave and Quest are subscription channels on Sky and are only free to air on Freeview. Channel 5 SD is available on all Sky boxes and Freesat SD boxes but is replaced on the EPG by Channel 5 HD on Freesat HD boxes (presumably so that Channel 5 don't have to pay for an extra EPG listing). Freesat from Sky gives you exactly the same channels (i.e. all free to air & all free to view) that you get with a cancelled subscription card.

Ian: Sound Digital haven't announced any plans to add their multiplex to any additional transmitters. The SDL multiplex is broadcast from 45 transmitters covering approximately 76% of the population in order to operate at much lower cost for the broadcasters than the 160+ transmitters used by D1 to achieve 90% coverage. SDL coverage may be expanded in future, but there is no guarantee when (or even if) this may happen or what areas it may expand to.

Bett I'Anson: We've told you several times already that this is not True Entertainment's website and we don't know when they are going to show The Thorn Birds or any other program. I already gave the link to True Entertainment's website in my recent post above yours.
