Ok thanks for reply, we do have two sky boxes, so there are two cables connected to the dish, can you only have two? also would there be a logical reason for my high grade loft aerial connected to a bedroom freeviw tele to only get BBC?

Hi just bought a Grundig GUFSAT01HD freesat box, given up on loft aerial..... just to confirm I am already using three cables from my sky dish to boxes for sky+ and sky will one cable be enough for Grundig as one outlet left on dish, or will I need a new freesat dish, sorry to be so dense, I have learned so much in the last few days it's mind boggling, I am doing it myself to keep cost down, thanks for your invaluable help.....

answer to HMO...Hi I am a novice who has recently installed a freesat box in a bedroom, like you I have sky so the dish is already there, my box is a standard HD so it only needed one free lnb connection to the dish which I had, so I ran a coax satellite sky+ hd freesat upgrade cable from the box to the dish, ran cable under carpet next to skirting and through back wall to dish{need a long drill bit for this}.....freesat won't work unless its connected to a dish, you will need a HDMI cable {if HD} and scart between the freesat box and tele... when you get connection press menu then option 2 then first time install then the lock code option is 0000 then your full postcode which is a bit slow so give it time,...found this site very helpful also googled lots of questions on the internet got an answer every time, been where you are know how you feel don't give up, good luck.....
