further to earlier email. Forgot to mention location of aerial. It is on a post rising from high on the side wall of the house.
Real problems started a couple of years ago and we have had to go to freesat for main tv but wish to retain freeview for non-freesat channels.
Basically, it works sometimes, but not all times.

Channels just disappear. Sometimes fine, but then go. Particularly noticeable when trying to watch BBC Breakfast. Very rarely get it, but can ofter watch BBC later in the day. It is almost as though BBCA and BBCB have had the power reduced overnight, and then turned back up sometime after 07:00.
Sometimes do not get any channels that can be watched without breakup, other times channels are fine. On a couple of occasions, when a channel has gone, I have checked the reported signal strength and it is down to 30% with quality of 100%, other times quality of 60%.
