The DVD Recorder has built-in Freeview but I decided to tune in the TV Freeview instead. I will swap the aerial cable to link into the DVD instead.

I have recently bought my first flatscreen TV and a DVD recorder, to go with my Sky+ box.
I have made the following connections:
TV to Aerial via aerial cable
TV to Sky+ box via scart cable
TV to DVD via HDMI cable
I can watch Freeview channels on the TV and via the Sky+ box. Plus I can record on the DVD recorder from the Sky+ box. However, the one thing that fails is the DVD recorder just shows a black screen when recording from the TV freeview picture. Don't understand how it can record the Sky pictures but not the freeview.
