That is more or less what I have done, though mostly just turning the aerial slightly. It is on a long pole, and the site is relatively high. The only thing not tried is varying the height, downwards, which I would assume would make things worse.
I don't use a log because I think at this distance its gain would not be sufficient. I realise logs work differently, but nevertheless would also assume that in groups B, and particularly C/D, few of the elements would act as 'directors' with the majority being unnecessary 'reflectors.' Stand to be corrected.

JB, thanks once again.
I am also wondering the following. For some reason the aerial is pulling in the ITV mux on c59 from Tac, at 90 degrees to Sudbury. This is the only Tac channel I am getting.
Could a signal on c59 disturb a signal on c60 minus?
Further looking at the sig strength AND quality on c60 shows at times that BOTH flash between zero and 90% over a matter of a second or two, but only on certain days.

Please would anyone on the Sudbury transmitter having problems with the mux on c60 ONLY, ie Pick and Challenge, let me know?

Kevin, I was hoping JB or Dave would pop in and make a comment or two, but never mind.
I am also hoping someone will come in and say they also have trouble with the mux on c60, Pick and Challenge. Put up the last aerial yesterday, fine reception on all channels, 2 hours later, c60 signal quality down to 30% and channel unwatchable. Given up.

Thank you gentlemen.
There is no vcr causing problems.
What really annoys me, having found aerials that give me c60, which I have now installed finally on the roofs of two houses, and gave me 90 to 97% signal quality, is that the next day the quality has dropped below 30% and I can see nothing. Any ideas on this please?
My aerials are are large and high, designed for groups B and C. Whilst experimenting, I turned them to Tac and got all channels, wish I had left them there, but assumed that as Sudbury was the designated transmitter, I would get the most consistent signal from there.

I think there really must be something amiss with Sudbury's c60, for the following reasons.
I experimented with the aerial in different directions. Tac good on all channels as high as 59. [can't try 62 as don't have hd.] Dutch and French A1 on all channels as low as 21, even though aerial is not designed for group A. Sudbury good on 56 and 58, although tested connections before erecting it, in the garden at only 10ft, and only the muxes on 41 and 44 came in, but that in itself was an achievement.
When Sudbury had a low power mux on c63, I could occasionally receive it, and that was on an old group b aerial.
I would like to blame the Dutch for my problem on c60, but they do not come in on that channel with aerial set to Holland.

Don't know about that, JB. I am in Aldeburgh and Hollesley, both get full Dover service, but lately lost Sudbury muxes on ch 56, 58 and 60.
Good reception from France on Dover aerial.
I have concluded that it is continental doings that are destroying reception on the coast from Sudbury, but Dover is unaffected. Also note Sudbury are playing with tx again.

Thanks JB,
I also recall something about the coms putting more stations on one channel than the BBC/ITV ones. Could this have something to do with it?
The trouble I am having seems to be that the signal quality on that channel varies considerably from day to day, 30 up to 90, whereas 58 is constant. Both have regular high signal strength.
