Below are all of Nick's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Thank you, JB. At the risk of trying your patience further though, I am baffled why this only happens on c60, in two locations, when 58 is so strong.
I have a very good aerial, high mast, high location, and even used to get the former mux on c63 sometimes, which was only at 3kw.

OK, will give up on the mux on ch 60 from Sudbury.
Please can someone explain the business of channel whatever 'minus?' Does this mean that there are twice as many channels available as thought as each one has a 'minus?'

JB, Mux on c60 came in 90% on quality and strength the other day, now back to its usual tricks of flickering between 0 and 90%, no signal.

Can any freesat box be tuned manually to receive all free Sky channels?
Is the footprint above freesat or sky? Which one are they likely to be looking at as far away as Cyprus?

Where can I find a list of the non English satellites receivable in UK and the frequencies used for their stations?

Nick: Briantist, freesat and sky are on the same dish alignment. I just wondered which of the two was picked up in Cyprus.
I realise I need to repoint the dish for other sats, and thank jb for pointing me in the right direction.
Incidentally, if I put up other dishes, I have found that whilst my Pace box for sky will let me manually tune to various channels not on sky, it will only remember them for a week or so and then I have to start over again.

JB/Dave,
Sorry to call on you again but I have yet another problem from Sudbury. You may recall the problems I had with the mux on c60. I have a big aerial, 28db booster, on a long pole in a high location and with no Dutchmen interfering in the winter can now get it. However, the hitherto strongest muxes showing 100%, ie ch41 and 44, are now periodically partially breaking up. Can this happen with TOO MUCH signal?

Thanks JB.
No, could not get c60 before upgrade.
Masthead amp, suppose I now have to attenuate and lose c60.
For your interest, I have been surprised how Dover comes in in winter as well as summer, but have now removed aerial. Before doing so I did a strength test. I noticed the signal was lower on c59, despite the power on that channel being double that of some other channels. Dover uses a group c/d aerial and unlike Sudbury, the channels are not widely spread needing a wideband. To me this shows that signals travel less well on the high channels and that my problem with Sudbury is that they are too widely spread, some with too much signal, some not enough, just can't win!

If it means they lose C60, hope so.
