The aerial is pointed directly at udbury and if pointed elsewhere does not not work, therefore I cannot see defraction is relevant, and with analogue, although we got interference from the Dutch, we never lost the signal. I am at a high location with near 100% signal...............usually.

I have one tv on Aldeburgh xmitter, one on Sudbury. The picture and sound on one are a second or so behind the other.
I think thick sea mist can be responsible for knocking out my signal.

19 Mar, evening, lost muxes using channels 56 58 60. At 9 pm, lost the rest. Weather forecast said fog, doubtless yet another reason for digital to pack up. What a naff set up, bring back analogue!

Peter, we have to accept that digital is not all it is cracked up to be, Sat is the only way to go, the Sudbury transmitter, radio or tv, gets knocked out by all manner of things to do with the weather.

Thanks, Mike, but satellite has few problems, terrestrial packs up at the slightest excuse.

I have retuned my box. Now, where for example I found BBC news on channel 80, I see a blank screen and after a while a message telling me it is on a new channel
I did not retune till the day after the change, and wish I had not bothered. Immediately before I retuned, BBC News was still on ch 80. This procedure seems merely to have made things less convenient.

Please would someone explain how much signal and how much quality, percent, is required to to display a good picture which does not pixellate?
Also, why on many occasions do I not get any pixellation, then suddenly, 'no signal?' When I check the strength and quality they have moved from their usual 95% to zero.
