Hello

I wonder if anyone can help me?

I have just been given a Ferguson HD Ready Digital LCD TV with an integral DVD player.

My parents who used it before me did not have SKY+ - we do.

I have connected the TV/DVD to our SKY+ box with a scart lead. The TV only has one scart socket. This works fine for sky and sky+ (although I can't tune the Sky remote to the TV for some reason). The original TV/DVD remote has a "source" button and I seem to need to change it from "Scart" to "DVD" to play a DVD - all fine. BUT

Problem 1: the TV/DVD remote control will work the TV volume but will not work the DVD. The DVD will work if I use the on device buttons. The batteries are fine.

Problem 2: I bought a universal remote to try and get the DVD working. I can now use the universal to do all the normal sky+ functions but it won't work the DVD. Also the universal does not have a "source" button so I'm having to use the origianl control to change the Source when I want to watch a DVD.

Can anyone think of why the integrated DVD will not work with the remote now that I've connect the SKY+ box via scart? Is it something to do with the fact that the signal is not now going direct into the TV? Have a got it on the wrong "source"?

Any help much appreciated.
