I don't know much else other than that these stations are run to make a profit. Different DAB multiplexes are operated by different companies and carried on each multiplex there are usually services from more than one broadcaster. As per the link I gave, MXR North East is operated by Global Radio which is the same company that owns LBC, as well as Classic, Heart, Capital, Real and others. It is pulling out of running some DAB multiplexes.

Ian Carrick: Obviously moving the aerial down the pole may not make any difference. But as it will require minimum effort and nil cost in parts it might be worth trying.

Ian Carrick: If it's your tree and if the "tree protection order" doesn't prohibit it, can you mount your aerial in the tree?

Les Bate: When Global Radio completed its rebrand of the Galaxy network, rolling out "Capital" on a quasi-national basis, Capital's Facebook page was inundated with complaints. Did it make any difference? No.
Similarly, a string of locally-respected heritage radio station names were consigned to history so as to make way for "Heart". Programmes are almost all networked with as little local content as can be got away with.
Global Radio has been formed from other broadcasting companies which aggregated over time. There is one interest and that is profit.

The BBC not being funded by the Licence Fee would be a sad day for Public Service Broadcasting in this country.

tracy: Looking on Streetview the buildings appear to have a single communal aerial on the roof. Or are you using your own aerial?
If it's a communal aerial then it may require adjustment to allow through C50 and C49 (COM5: Pick TV etc). If so then I am amazed that three months down the line no one in the block has been bothered to notify the party responsible (e.g. landlord) to get it fixed!

Sinead: Without knowledge of your location it isn't possible to assist.
If you have an aerial for Freeview and are also using it for RT you could potentially be receiving the latter from a different transmitter. Without knowledge of your location, preferably in the form of postcode or nearby postcode such as that of a shop it is an open ended question.

Derek Matravers: The "better" COM channels using vertical polarisation applies to Rowridge only. All other transmitters use one polarisation only.

LBC has been removed from all other DAB multiplexes throughout the country, barring London.
