Stephen: Some HD receivers have issues which inhibit them from receiving two DVB-T2 (HD) multiplexes at once. Knowledge of the make and model number will allow others on here to comment on whether it is affected.
However, try the automatic tuning scan and unplug it before it gets to C57, this being to test whether it will pick up and allow you to watch COM7 on C31. If it will then it would appear that your box will only show one DVB-T2 mux.

sonia morrow: Some forums say it's not available in the North. The only possibility is: can you receive it from one of the terrestrial transmitters in the South?

gordon malcolm: Not via Freeview. The only way would be "if" your TV has a DAB (digital radio) or FM receiver built in.

Listen online is probably the best bet.

Mr & Mrs I L Rubery: No, because they aren't broadcast from Sutton Coldfield.
There are a number of transmitters up the Derwent valley that relay Waltham, but you are out of range of them all.

The ground rises and falls within a couple of miles of you and may be the cause of your difficulty.

Michael: Because it's a commercial channel, therefore it can decide where it's available and for what charge.
Only the BBC TV and radio services, ITV (the main ITV channel only)/STV (part of Scotland)/UTV (Northern Ireland), Channel 4 and Channel 5 have an obligation to be available for free on all platforms, this being because they are Public Service Broadcasters.

Ronald J. Beaton: What is this "4G" aerial you speak of. "4G" implies mobile telephony, so it's not surprising that using a mobile telephone antenna for television reception is likely to result in poor reception.
Knowledge of your location, preferably in the form of postcode or that of a nearby shop, is required as this is a reception issue.
If the "4G" aerial is really intended for television reception then you describe it as "flat", but Rosneath broadcasts vertically so that might be one reason that reception is likely to be intermittent.
