Since DSO I get pixellation/breakup EVERY night on ch54 stations (ITV, Ch4/5 etc) from the Walthamtransmitter. The problem starts gradually from approx 8:00pm (time varies) and gets rapidly worse over 5/10mins or so to become unwatchable. I haven't fully verified this but I think the reception normalises late evening and never happens during the day as far as I can tell - signal strength is about 45-60% but appears to be quite volatile (but doesn't drop below 45%). I have an analogue era aerial installed in the loft. I didn't experience any particular freeview reception problems prior to DSO. I can't find anyone else with a simillar issue locally but most have external w/band aerials. I've tried clearing all the stored channels and manually scanning Ch54 but it makes no difference. My box is a Philips DTR100 which has it's foibles but seems better behaved otherwise since DSO(!) - besides which since it's OK during the day I assume it's some kind of bizarre atmospherics issue.
