STV is the Scottish provider of ITV programmes. At present it transmits on Freeview HD channel 51 but not on Freesat. MOst the addional possible channels such as ITV 2 and ITV 4 are rubbish so why sate a place on Freeview with them. We have places wasted on Freeview with the +1 channels already. For th person on about Sky they broadcast on SKY channels owned by them, exclucing sport and movies, between 10 and 12 hours of orginal programming. Its a hell of a lot to pay just for that.

BigDave: I live approx 25 miles (Lenzie) from Blackhill transmitter with line of site on a good day. I have a Panasonic FreeviewHD TV. During the period mentioned about variable HD reception the signal strength on my set has remained at maximum even through the very poor weather of late. No problems with picture or sound quality on the HD or SD channels since TV purchased a year ago.

BigDave: Jean the position of the menu items on screen will be the same whatever the language. Look out your English manual to find what each item is and work from that. Good luck

Since the end of the olympics my Humax PVR 9200T will not record any programs at all. Timings are set up as usual but ignored. Has anybody else had this problem? Is it related to the inactive channel 302 or some other transmitter problem which happened earlier with an extra duplicate radio station. Once that was removed by the engineers all ws fine.

The extra channels in the 800 range mean that Humax PVRs will not record any programs o the channels with the correct number for the identical channel. Retuning as suggested by Humax for similar problem last year seems not to work. The workaound is to leave the box on at the time you want to record and it then seems to record but not in standby. Hope it will go away after 22 June when 800+ channels disappear
