Below are all of andrew1210's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.same problem we had, except only 2 miles away lol, will need a super high aerial on top of the chimney to overcome the gradient and houses in the way!
At this distance I could even consider running an RF cable from the transmitter itself!!!!

Deffinately CH59 for HD Mux.
I gave in and am just patiently (or not so) waiting on the DSO to get HD only 2 miles away from me :(

I checked, I am approx. 2miles, NW of Blackhill on no HD recepiton, that is disregarding height issues as mentioned in my previous posts

OK, let's put out a call for everyone in direct N,S,E or W of Blackhill, get up on your roof with a compass so we can find out why we can't get HD!
As they say, If something's worth doing, do it yourself!
Hope this is confirmed and I can have increased hope of HD by July

I noticed as well, living 2 miles away, normally getting 100% on everything bar HD, and I mean maxed out, never moving.
But reading this there I checked, and for some reason tonight it's floating around 80% strength and there is a few channels that are distored (film four, sky three etc.)

That's probably why thank's. On further investigation, it only seems to be Mux. C that's effected, aw well

Hopefully we don't get problems with over powered signals :S Currently, most channels in my house are at 97/98% signal strength and quality (~ 2.5 - 3 miles from Blackhill)
I also have a relative <1.5 miles from the transmitter, who already suffers form overpowered signals on a few channel. Switch Over will probably make this worse!

Yes, hopefully, as mentioned before, I'm 1 mile away from Blackhill transmitter, and can't get the HD channels! Hopefully this will improve tomorrow. Anyone know if it's going to happen dead on midnight?.... or at least by morning...

Yeah just looked at DSO website there and they said 6am for completion on the the main transmitter, the lights are on in the buildings around the transmitter and flood lights are on, I assume it's only a matter of waiting now! I have actually switched on BBC1 Scotland on analogue to 'wait for the white nosie' lol

Hi, yep same problem as we had, HD group nowhere to be seen and we're < 2miles away from Blackhill, but it must be the height issue. I would think it would be the same as us, wait until the end of June when switchover happens and HD power is cranked up.
Briantist: I assume there is a big difference between SD and HD? Never having seen an HD picture I don't know what I am missing out on!
