I have a problem with reception in Shaldon in Devon that just baffles me - Any comments would be most helpful.
I have a V40 Log Periodic aerial pointing at the Stockland Hill Transmitter with a good quality Vision 4-Way distribution amplifier feeding several TVs. The aerial is inside the loft pointing through a concrete tiled roof. We have 100% Signal Strength and 100% Signal Quality on the PSB Channels and about 80% Signal Strength and 100% Signal Quality on the COM Channels which broadcast at lower power.
We receive PSB1 (C26), PSB2 (C23), PSB3 (C29) COM5 (C22), COM4 (C25) but have absolutely no signal for COM6 (C28). All the three COM channels all broadcast at the same power.
House next door with a traditional aerial attached to the chimney receives all the channels with no problems.
Any ideas why I would have lost just one Channel ?? My only thought is a reflection that just cancels out the signal at this one frequency
