im using a freeview foxsat-hd pvr box connected to a new panasonic viera...i get agreat pic when using scart to scart in av1
however i can get no reception when i set it up with a hmli cable having resset the tv menu. Am I doing something wrong???

g wilson: Im running one hm cable that was sent by humax with the box however i have tried another to no avail. by no reception i mean that im staring at a blank screen with the hml1 logo topr left

g wilson: yes i have done all that...working them singly. I have also gone thru all the menus both box and tv to no avail. i have also tried all the 4 hmli plug ins by the way this is a replacement humax box /reason i want the freeview sat thru the hmli is that i also have btvision and want to run that thru the scart section. im wondering if i might need a highspeed hmli cable????

g wilson: thank you ever so much for your helpful advice.
i connected up my btvision box via hml1 and ran the events in the sequence you suggested...it banged in first time.
i then closed down and set up the humax box....A BIG NUTHING...not only that the box menu was locked on one channel couldnt move it remote wontwork...couldnt even get back to setting factory settings as everything was locked.
went and got my old little humax box started from scratch and it worked like a baby.
as this is the secong humaxpvr box that obviously doesnt work....well I think Ill be asking for my money back!!! thanks again guys

in the same boat replaced humax foxsat box three times...still get problems with it
for no reason it will lock up on a channel. pain in the butt really. in the pefs i give it a postcode from the other side of the country and it hunts out those hd channels. ...but of course im using a sat dish with the freeview.
this site gave me great instruction how to set up.

i have been trying to get picture on a viera tv cabled thru a humax foxsatHd pvr box. no picture or sound when cablked thru hdmli and adjusted menu on tv. picture and sound ok when using scart and eadjusted menu to av1. why cant I get MDMLI connection to work.?
