Nick: Most, but not all, Freeview boxes offer the 14:9 option, which is what you see on analogue TV.

However, some boxes only offer "centre cut out" 4:3 and the "thin letterbox" 16:9 options.

Paul: Yes. From 17 Aug 11 you will receive the D3+4 multiplex.

However, you will in fact, from 21 Sep 11 be best advised to switch to Emley Moor for a better service.

Peter: It sounds like there is a serious fault with the box, I would think you will need to speak to a Sky engineer.

Upgrading from Sky to Freesat | Freesat
Wednesday 11 May 2011 6:13PM

Edna: You can't get FreeVIEW with a Sky box, but you can watch the fSfS (Freesat from Sky) channels - see the list on the All free-to-watch channels | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice page.

You will need a satellite signal cable attached from one of the two spare outputs on the "LNB" on the dish to your box, but this is all that is required.

Chris: The beam for that transponder is slightly different to the "normal" ones for the UK - see Eutelsat satellites : EUROBIRD 1 satellite at 28.5 degrees East - this could be the cause.
