Mark Aberfan Aerials: I think we are all very bored with the idea of "light touch" and "self regulation".
However, I don't think the current government want to do anything other than remove regulations, being very much of the "caveat emptor" persuasion.

Beth: First check your TV is not on this list - TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
You might have to wait until the switchover is complete on Wednesday 25th May 2011 for things to stabilise.

chris howell: If you have an amplifier, I would suggest you try disconnecting it from your system, it may be causing your signal to overload.
The engineering work is listed by Digital UK on a week-by-week basis.

margy: As above, you just need a suitable DVB-T USB dongle, and a connection to a rooftop aerial. If you have Windows 7 that will have the Media Center software required to provide the TV guide.
No internet connection is required.
