Digital Region Overlap

Mark Fletcher: Yes, the TTTV-Yorkshire overlap has been there since the 1960s, and was especially handy when Emley Moor fell down in 1969.

I must actually do an "overlap" map showing ONLY the overlap areas, would be quite interesting.

Trevor Newbery: Yes, that is correct, DVI does not carry audio.

You will need to either use a separate audio link to the TV set, or a separate audio link to an amplifier and speakers.

You can get audio out of the SCART connection (using an appropriate lead) if the box doesn't have a audio-out stereo-pair, or SPDIF (the digital audio connection).

Mrs June Shepherd: I would suggest you have a look at the checklist on the Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice page.

jacky law: The most likely reason is that you had a dodgy "fly lead" on the box that doesn't work properly. I would suggest you try changing this aerial lead.

mr john w. powell: Please do this - My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - to restore the channel. It has moved multiplexes and you need to do a "first time" tune on your box or TV set.

Adrian Morris: At Midhurst you need a wideband aerial, as COM7, COM8 and COM9 will all be "out of group". A C/D aerial will block COM7, COM8, COM9.
