Here they are from 1969-1983
Only "Scene around Six" changed to "Newsline", plus South East eventually was broken into London News/South East Today/South Today (Oxford); also "Look North West" (Manchester) broke from the tradition of "Look North".

Tarquin: The Panasonic DMR-EX769 has no Freeview HD capabilities, so the best you are going to get out of it is a stereo feed.
The "Dolby Surround" (compare "Dolby Digital") system is a way of encoding a back-effect-channel and a dialogue-channel into a conventional stereo signal.
If you are watching a live (or recorded) show that is in "Dolby Surround" - which is going to be a US-made one from the 1990s onwards - you set your amplifier to "Dolby Pro Logic" to get output from the surround speakers.
However, if a show is not encoded to "Dolby Surround", you will need to switch back to "direct stereo" for the best quality sound.

JOHN PRESLEY: It's hardly unreasonable that the London Broadcasting Company might choose to concentrate on the capital...?

Ian: As I'm sure you know, there is a comparison list here - All free TV channels | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice .
The main reason - I have been told - is that channels are "free exclusive to Freeview" is that British Sky Broadcasting provides incentives to channel providers that requires all the channels from a supplier to be subscription.
This means that, for example, Discovery can't make Quest available to Freesat, without losing out financially for the revenue it gets for providing the other channels to Sky subscribers.
I have also been "reliably informed" that UKTV (half owned by BBC Worldwide, half by Scrips) wishes to keep a "finger in every pie", meaning that the satellite subscription revenues are an important part of the income mix.
Basically, it's a "free market" and - public service channels aside - each broadcaster or channel provider has to negotiate for capacity with the cable operators (mainly Virgin Media), satellite (either SSSL for subscription, or with SES for Freesat) as well as the multiplex owners (Arqiva, and ITV plc) for Freeview.

Morris Woodberry: Please see Four regional DAB multiplexes to close in 2013 to allow for better local DAB | Digital radio | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice .
How To Listen To LBC: FM, Digital Radio, TV, Online, Mobile | LBC shows that LBC was broadcast outside London on the multiplexes that are closing.
However, the reason for doing this is to provide MORE local radio on DAB.
It may be that LBC will find room on the new local DAB. Another possibility is the launch of the "second national commercial DAB multiplex".

DaveCheltenham: I visited Border TV a few times.
Whilst most ITV companies had very impressive set-ups, Border TV was just a medium sized office building in a commercial park.
Really good people though, very friendly.

Michael: I think Border TV's biggest hit was in 1967 - "Mr and Mrs".
It's strange to think - in these day of Alex Salmond and Nigel Farage - that it wasn't such a long time ago that people still agreed with Samuel Johnson' "patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel", and created a TV station in that vein...

Jamie: The company that last won the franchise for the South West was called "WestCountry TV", the winner for the West bit was "HTV West".
ITV keep using the historic brand names it already owns in most regions, thus the North West is still "Granada" (possibly because it includes the Isle of Mann), the South East is still "Meridian" (because it also covers the South Coast and Thames Valley), also "TyneTees" covers North Yorkshire, and so on.
