SeeMoreDigital: From my understanding, the BBC is looking towards the high definition services being supported by an on-line offering, rather than re-broadcasting the whole data services on three multiplexes (only one of which it owns outright).

BBC - Connected Red Button & Red Button - Inside the BBC has some details.

Lynne Bullen: Hi.

I would guess - and it's hard to be specific without more details - that your box is probably capable, if connected, of using some internet services but you have chosen one that it can't do.

For example, there are the "IPTV" channels in the 220 channels and above. For these to work you need BOTH an internet connection and a box capable of the video decoding required.

Unlike having a PC or a tablet, the box can't upgrade the software it uses.

Sorry this is only a guess.

jb38: There were a large number of issues taking time to convert and check.

All the URLs linked to have been checked, for example, and those that have been moved now point to the updated URLs and those that are dead now point to the Web Archive at archive.org, if there is a page for that.

MikeP: If you selected a daily email, then the email gets sent out every 24 hours.

When it's time to send you an email, the email is compiled and if there's anything new to sent to you it goes out.

And then the time is put forward by 1440 minutes. This means the email gets sent out at the same time every day.

However, when the email system was upgraded it was turned off for some time. This had the effect of putting the time of your emails forward a few minutes, as the next email time was set with regard to when the process runs (ie, NOW() in SQL) rather than the time that the last email was sent.

The list you are asking for is the second section of the emails sent to you. It's not changed in any way, it's just wrapped in a green box. The code didn't change for that (it did for everything else).

The right hand side of the old email can all be seen on every page of this site. For ease of reading the email has the top few of "Trends", "Stories" and "Popular".

Adrian Crafer: Sorry for the problem with that page. It had nothing to do with your browser.

The was an internal error that was trying to use the wrong Oxford transmitter when it translates the "name" to the internal address.

Oxford (Oxfordshire, England) Full F…

now works as expected.

Adrian Crafer: Thanks.

The are all there on the main menu. That's how I got to them

MAPS then EVERY MAST

FREEVIEW then LIST OF DSO DATES

FREEVIEW then LIST OF MAST LOCATIONS

FREEVIEW then TRANSMITTERS

The menus have light green markers to show you where you are..

The "Find a Freeview transmitter by frequency" works by clicking on the channels listed on the page. When you have selected one you get to see some transmitters. You can select two channels to narrow down the search.

"the channels need updating to reflect the recent changes, "

Not sure what you mean by this. The list of channels I have checked every day! 71 , Motors TV was added a few days ago.

The "TV transmitter details" link is to provide an "up" option for the pages with the full details on. It redirects to the Freeview map (I had it off as there was a redirection bug).

OK folks. I found an small issue with the radio (analogue and FM) where the "IE" parameter was being ignored. This mean you couldn't dig down into the reception groups.

Such as this one Map of all FM, MW and LW transmitters

It's worth saying that the groups are somewhat arbitrary - they are the UK administrative areas. Sometimes they are cities (like the Greater London example) but others can be counties ("West Sussex") and others cities that are separate entities from their "historic" counties, such as Portsmouth and Southampton.

I also fixed a bug that prevented viewing of areas outside the "UK national grid" such as Les Platons.
