@KMJ,Derby: I was at a meething at the Digital Television Group last week and everything seems to be on course for DSO2 to happen as planned, perhaps a little earlier.

Of particular note will be COM7 and COM8 moving to two single-frequency networks on C55 and C57 (I think).

jb38: Sorry about that, I have a system that checks all the values here everyday against the Ofcom master data. It seems to have not looked correctly when a transmitter has both vertical and horizontal outputs. Of which there are very few and Rowridge is the only main one.

Mariablanca Perezaguilar: Having watched every single episode of SVU myself, I'm guessing that they 99.9% of them can't be shown before the watershed (9pm). This is also true for them when they are first broadcast on US TV. Why not get yourself a Freeview+ and record them so you can watch them whenever you want?

Bay TV Swansea
Tuesday 16 August 2016 4:21PM

I've fixed the link at the top of the page to show Introducing Swansea Bay TV - Bay TV Swansea .

Not sure why they couldn't redirect people there - the site's auto management code would pick it up!

Brian Gregory: This page wasn't registering with the comments system correctly. It does now so the sub-pages now work,.

Sorry about that.

Robert Newman: Hi. The whole of the UK TV transmitter network is on lock down because of the Olympics. There are no engineering works during this time.

So... it's probably not the transmitter that is the cause of your reception issue.

@Tom G

Good question...

"Who determines whether my home is one of them, and when? "

Before the digital switch-over, you could work out if you needed a new aerial by using a special "Teletext" page. This time they might do it by generating a temporary multiplex service that just consists of a single channel with the simple text saying "you don't need a new aerial".

So, you might be asked - by means of publicity - to see if you can see a special Freeview channel (say, "99") to check to see if your aerial is OK.

"Who is responsible for changing the antenna? "

This will be a body funded by the costs of taking over the new allocations, as per "at800".

"Who pays for changing the antenna? (That's especially important for 4 story houses with no roof access other than by scaffolding!) "

See above.

"What happens if a home has more than one antenna? "

See section 6.15 of http://stakeholders.ofcom….pdf "12% of households with outdoor aerials have multiple aerials"
