Josh: Yes. As I've said above, DVB-S2 is the same as DVB-S with some new parameters.
The HD is provided by the MPEG4 codec, it has nothing to do with the broadcast parameters used.
If the BBC had used S2 for the transponder, it would be wasting the rest of the bits on it, as Sky SD boxes have no access to S2.

Paddy: Probably not, you will be getting C34- multiplex 1 England West Midlands north 356° from Fenton (V) and this will block the HD on C34 from Lichfield.

If you want ITV3, your best option is to add Freesat to your house.
