You may have noticed that companies of this type do not make it easy for subscribers to resign. There is a huge amount of inertia. "Give me a fucking name on a direct debit and it's mine for life," said Chisholm. There had to be goodies in the shop window to bring in the direct debits. Dave Hill, head of Sky Sports, said in 1991: "Sport as drama and sport as soap opera - that's what people want to watch on television".
I'm afraid it isn't in any way "a national disgrace". You are in a very rare position to have your digital signals not get considerably better. No consolation to your good self, of course, but the guarantees are around the provision of the public service multiplexes.

Scott: It makes no odds, the HD services use, on the whole, the old BBC One analogue allocations.
Look at the above, C40 before switchover BBC One analogue, after switchover BBCB, the HD multiplex.

Scott: The preview Freeview HD service is mixed in with the analogue FIVE signal, it does not use any new "air" equipment.
As FIVE analogue is decommissioned after switchover I can't see them doing anything with it other than switching it off when the time comes.

Mark Aberfan Aerials: Yes, that is very true. I guess they can probably hang on the Freesat promotion as it is.
