Hackett: Not all equipment has the same level of sensitivity to different signal conditions. Usually a PVR, with two tuners, will require a slightly better signal than a single-tuner TV.

If you have only just got it, the device could reasonably be thought of as faulty, I would have thought.

Graham Stone: Sounds much easier to just buy a Freesat+ box. One box, two tuners, one remote.

GREG: I'm sorry to hear you have wasted money on an HDMI cable. As digital links, they are designed to be inexpensive - if you have spend more than £5 on one you have been ripped off.

Sounds typical of what happens if you use a booster with digital reception. I would try disconnecting it from your system, as it seems to be helping you receive additional interference.

Bill: Given the total power output will be lower than at the moment, and the fire was not related to that, anyway.
