Greebo: It was called "MEN" in the official documentation, that is the designation it got, the current official Ofcom designation is that it belongs to "Channel M Television Limited", not the GMG. Ofcom | Ofcom awards spectrum licence in Manchester to Channel M Television Limited .

Licences do not automatically transfer to GMG because Channel M Television Ltd is still in existence.

Stephen F: I did say "remove" a booster, and not power it off. If you disconnect the power from an amplifier, it will block the signal.

The best thing to do is to bypass the distribution amplifier (connect one output to the input) and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then yes, use a Y-connector.

Michael: It would be a good way of making the point you describe. In addition, there is a new Broadcasting Act in the pipeline, so now is the time to draw attention to rules that require changing.

Mrs Anakillie Naidoo: No, you can't. The satellite footprints for FreeSAT (not Freeview) cover only the UK and Europe.

Nick: Ofcom is only required to implement the law as it stands - which is the Broadcasting Act 1996 - Broadcasting Act 1996 - there is no requirement in the law for full coverage.
