Harrypea: You can't record/play/record anything on a Sky+ box without a subscription.
If you want to record from satellite without a subscription you need a Freesat+ or Freesat+HD box.

Davie: The RF output of the Sky box is analogue and will be prone to the interference you are getting.
You might get it to work OK if you use satellite-grade coaxial cable throughout.

Harrypea: The HD subscription is separate from the + subscription. If you have + you can record/play/pause any channels you can receive.
