allrico: Yes, that is correct, Sky no longer support the Magic Eye device - they would much rather sell you the Multiroom box with it's subscription upgrade.
Ensure that the magic eye is the only thing connected to the RF2 output and that you have a good quality aerial fly lead connecting the Magic Eye box to the TV set.
It could, however, be that the "receiver bit" in the Sky box has died.

Phil: You apply a negative ofset if there is a minus sign after the number, by convention.
The ofsets are shown at the top of the page, but they are rounded up or down to 0.2MHz.

dutchman: It's going to be 8k mode that is the issue, 64QAM has been in used since the very start of ONdigital.
There are actually some really good Freeview+ and Freeview+HD boxes out there, but I personally think that Windows 7 Media Center is the best - you can use any size hard drive with it and also FOUR TUNERS.

JH: I would suspect your non-working box is on the "condemned" list - TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
