hi

we have a sky+ setup with a coax from rf2 to our bedroom tv with a magic eye which has been working correctly for months. The downstairs tv connects to the sky box via scart and is still working but the bedroom tv shows a no signal message. I brought the bedroom tv downstairs and connected it directly to the rf2 outlet with a coax that i know works. The magic eye led is on and can be used to control the sky but the bedroom tv still displays no signal. I removed the magic eye but the problem remains. I tried another tv on the rf2 which wouldn`t tune in (it is older so doesn`t display a message).

I have tried changing the rf channel and resetting the hd box. The bedroom tv works ok if i use the scart lead.

Is there anything i can do try?

Thanks

jb38:sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I have tried your suggestions and it looks like your suggestion about the modulator may be correct. I tried connecting the tv directly to the rf1 using a coax that works on another tv and it still doesn`t pick up anything when I tune it in.

When there was still rf power to the magic eye on rf2 I wasn`t sure if it was possible for there to be no signal.

I did unplug the sky box for 30 seconds and set the rf channel back to its original setting. I also tried 2 other channel numbers suggested by this site.

The fact that the setup had worked for several weeks and that there is no signal from either rf1 or rf2 when connected directly makes me think it is broken.

Thanks for your help.

jb38:i tried as you suggested and connected the rf1 to the livingroom tv, removed the scart connection and retuned the tv. it didn`t pick up any channels so i guess the modulator must not be working.

thanks for your help.
