Many thanks for your comments, after the community housing ariel engineer tried just about everything possiblle, he arrived at the same conclusion as you did, however there may be more problems after the signal is boosted to full power, mainly caused by a signal being picked up through the back of the ariel from the more powerful sutton transmitter. But it seems to be a case of wait and see. Thanks again.

Hi all, Postcode WR5 1QU, communal ariel facing malvern, built in freeview in samsung tv, all channels being recieved BUT having checked signal strength via the tv channels broadcast from transmitter I.D. 3064 are all fine running at 92% BUT channels with I.D. 3084 are only running at 21% so are breaking up. the ariel is set at vertical and at 249 degrees west. can anyone help please?
