When we moved into the flat there was no aerial, so I put one in the loft, this was about 3 years ago and 90% of the time all signal is fine, other times when I play around with the cable I can get it to work but I suppose this could also be damaging the cable/socket even though I get the signal to work for a while.
I'll come back and let you know how I get on.
Cheers again,
Ant

I have a TV in the living room of my flat and the Aerial is in the loft of my flat. On the majority of channels (freeview and BT channels) I have perfect reception, but if the cable that plugs into the aerial socket and then in to the TV is knocked or moved accidentally ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 all have bad reception and it can take me around 30 mins moving the cable in the wall socket around before I can get ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 clear again. All the while every other channel is unaffected.
Why are only these channels affected?
Is this a common problem?
Is it just a case of trying a new cable from socket to TV?
Does Aerial need to be outside?
