Can I buy a Freesat + Or a Sky+ set and plug into my existing dish ? Don't I need to upgrade the dish or something ?

P.s So I need a SUBSCRIPTION to record with Sky ?
I don't want to do that...what about buying a PVR ?

I don't mind about pausing live tv. But I want to be able to watch and record free to air channels (and I note a good few of these are STILL not on Freesat?) without a subcrciption.
What's you best advice then? ...and can I install this myself ?

I did read it.
I was just checking because I was under the impression that Sky+ still recorded even if you didn't have a subscription. So I wanted to check I had got the rest of it right. But apologies if you felt I wasn't paying attention.

Brian can you take a look at this ... PACE SKY PLUS FREESAT PVR - RECORD WITH NO SUBSCRIPTION on eBay (end time 22-Mar-11 19:04:06 GMT) tell me if it will work....I have a Sky Card which I purchased for £20 when they updated their systems a little under a year ago. But I am not sure if that will work.
Just to be on the safe side ....can I still use it for normal reception before I get a second Cable ?

I get the impression I am getting on your nerves.... I hope not. I am reluctant to shell out the extra for a HD Box since I don't have a HD TV. As I said the main thing is to record without subscription which this claims to do. Thanks for taking a look.

What's the best price and option for Freesat + Box. So I will be able to pause live tv, tape one watch another etc ?
