Richard: I am an aerial installer from gloucestershire and we were getting odd problems just recently. I installed a new aerial 4 weeks ago it was working perfectly then all of a sudden some channels would go then all channels, usually at night! I believe that there was a problem with high pressure causing an inversion effect. That should have passed by now though.
Are you still having the same problems?

Ali: Sometimes it can be as simple as the connector on the end of the cable! If the TV downstairs is getting it then you can pretty much rule out an aerial fault. How is the signal split between the 2 rooms? check all connections take them apart and put them back together making sure the outer braiding isn't touching the centre copper core.
