My location appeared hopeless for reception of BBC Radio Sheffield. Shadowed by a nearby hill for Crosspool and Clifton transmitters.
Yet with a 6 element Yagi pointed almost 45 degrees East of Sheffield I get full strength signal and quality @ 100%.
Any explanations?
Pete

Dave Lindsay: Thanks, Didn't mention in my post this is for DAB. There are farm buildings 50mts. away in the same direction with metal roofs and cladding, wondered if this could contribute. Ironically Yagi is pointing almost at Chesterfield transmitter, yet this doesn't transmit Radio Sheffield!

Over the last few weeks we have had serious problems with all D1 National stations both at home & our DAB radio in the car. Sometimes we have a signal which will then drop out & sometimes there is no signal whatsoever...is there a problem in the Chesterfield area?
Regards
Jean Lugg
